Isaiah 26:20

Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.

God had been speaking that very scripture to me before the corona virus became known, It was about my own personal spiritual attack, and very helpful to me at the time. But now it is a wonderful message from God, to keep our hearts and also our bodies safe at this time.

God has always hidden his people from evil and judgement, when necessary, and as they have walked with him.

For Instance;

The exodus of the Israelites from Egypt

Exodus 12:7-13      Here is my summary of those verses; Hide in your house with the blood of your sacrificial lamb on doorposts and lintels, [the entrance to your house], and death will pass over you.

The principle is, obey God, use the blood of Jesus to put on the spiritual doorways of your family by faith, and allow that blood covering to be your protection. The blood of Jesus protects and covers us as we obey Gods’ word.

Natural blood is almost impossible to totally remove, modern tests are available which will reveal blood even when the naked eye cannot see it. When there is the shedding of natural blood through violence, there is a spiritual effect. The land is defiled by the shedding of innocent blood, sexual uncleanness, idolatry

Genesis 4:10, Deut 19:10, Numbers 35:33, Psalm 106:35 Ezekiel 36:18, these curses sometimes continue in geographical regions until there is geographical repentance, by those who live in that area, especially who own land in it, and by regional spiritual authorities.

The blood of Jesus was presented by him to the father in heaven and sits upon the altar until the dispensation of grace is removed

Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption

Exodus 29:20, Hebrews 9:22

PSALM 27:5, Psalm 31:20 and many other scriptures talk about God hiding us.

Sometimes that hiding is spiritual but it could also be natural.

So staying home to avoid a virus is just wisdom and of course, obeying the instructions of our government. Which the scripture commands unless they are telling us to disobey the word of God.

Exodus chapters 13:14     The israelites were hidden in cloud and fire, which also led them, warmed them at night, and sheltered them from heat by day

Exodus chapter two-Moses was hidden in a basket made of bullrushes-but delivered to his destiny in the palace when the time was right

Matthew 2:12  Jesus was hidden in egypt after his birth, through a dream which Mary and Joseph had.

How wonderful to come into the secret place with our God as we have the availability of more “free” time.

This secret place gives us his strength, and joy, and peace, and power.

Before every season change, God sent his warriors into a secret place.

Paul was sent into the wilderness for three years after his damascus road experience,[Acts chapter 9].

Jesus himself was in the wilderness when satan confronted him and tried to get Jesus to ally with the power satan had received when Adam and Eve broke covenant with God [ Luke chapter 4].

Satan promised all the power and authority over earth to him, but Jesus knew he was about to reedeem that power back from satan and much more, through his death and resurrection. He did not settle for less, but stayed in his secret place of prayer and fasting, and came out of that wilderness to be baptised and start walking in his miracle power. [Matthew chapter 4].
